I’m Opal. I lead Senna Labs.

I’m Opal Piyaporn Kijtikhun, the CEO and co-founder of Senna Labs, a digital-product and IT consulting company in Thailand. I studied law before moving into technology, and both subjects still have a place in my work.

01

Law was the starting point.

I studied at Thammasat University’s Faculty of Law. My career then took me into IT consulting and, in 2017, the launch of Senna Labs. A legal education is part of that history; running a technology company is what I do today.

The connection between those subjects has become quite practical. In 2023, I worked with the UNCTAD team on a presentation of software requirement specifications for a Thailand Online Dispute Resolution platform. Consumer protection and the requirements of a digital service belonged in the same discussion.

02

A company built around digital products.

Senna Labs brings together product design and software delivery. The company’s work has included UX/UI, web and mobile applications, machine learning, digital assessments and data-protection work.

In my Moxie Insights interview, I talked about understanding clients, communicating clearly and continuing to learn in a changing industry. The same interview describes the company’s Discovery, Implementation and Launch process. The company’s product and engineering teams carry out that delivery.

03

Returning to Thammasat.

Teaching has brought me back to the university where I studied. In LB 113, Business Basics for Law Students, students research people’s frustrations with legal services and build business ideas around the findings.

Experience Design for Law takes up a related question: how people feel when they encounter justice, as well as the rules and procedures involved. I co-taught the 2025 session with Tae Pasinpat Chaitawatsakul of Easy Money. Outside the classroom, my mentoring and judging work has included BAScii and ANT Accelerator.
